Zuerst mal guten Tag in der newsgroup - hoffe, Ihr könnt helfen ...
Hallo Fachleute,
habe folgendes Problem:
Will von OE auf Outlook 2003 umsteigen.
Installation und Konfiguration von Outlook 2003 ohne Fehlermeldung
Outlook als primäres email-Programm eingerichtet
Nun zum eigentlichen Problem:
Outlook empfängt nur ganz wenige emails (darunter auch junk-emails)
Öffne ich nach dem email-Empfang mit "Outlook 2003" "Outlook Express", dann erhalten ich noch jede Menge emails, die unter "Outlook
2003" nicht (!) angezeigt/empfangen wurden!?
Hatte als Posteingangsserver zuerst POP3, jetzt IMAP, ohne dass sich am Problem irgend etwas geändert hätte.
Wo liegt der Fehler?
Danke Euch im voraus für Euere Mühe!
P.S. Windows xp firewall abgeschaltet, Fritzbox als Router

I do not understand why I get this error message when I open Outlok Express
An error occurred while establishing the Dial-Up Network connection "MSN"
have cable and I am not on a network.
Note: I have IE and also MSN and other browsers.

Hi
When I close Outlook Express down, all appears to go OK until I get a
"Outlok Express has encountered a problem and must close etc etc message".
I have compressed my folders in outlook Express 6 IE8 WinXP Home SP3.

- Missing Tools Bar OE

My Tools Bar is missing all of its info.
New Mail, Send/Receive etc. I do have it checked.
I have the tool bar for Newsgroups.
It has come and gone a couple of times, I think it
came back after a reboot, but it's gone again.
Any Help?

- Sending all msgs, but some appear unsent (XP x64)

OE is configured to Send Later. When a batch of emails is in the Outbox, and
I Send them all, the progress meter counts through them all. All messages get
sent. However, OE will only show that 5 or 10 of them went out, and those
appear in Sent folder.
The remaining emails sit in the Outbox. When I Send, another 5 or 10 or 15
(usually a multiple of 5; not 3,4, or 17, etc.) move to Sent, and if I repeat
this they all eventually get moved to Sent. But each time I am clicking
Send/Receive, EVERYTHING in the Outbox is really getting sent, so some emails
are being sent a bunch of times. OE just doesn't think it's sending all of
them, but it is.
What I have tried:
I have compacted the folders-- no change.
I have deleted the entire Store folder, and let OE re-create everything-- no
change. Permissions look good on the folders.
What I am running:
We have OE 6, with Windows XP Pro x64.
We use Mcafee SonicWall Enforced Client, but I don't think it is the culprit.

I have XP Pro and IE7.
Hope you can help me again. Many months ago it was determined that my OE was
corrupt. I remember you instructing me to delete certain folders in OE and
then upon a restart they would be re-installed by the system.
I did that and the problem was solved. Now it seems that my WLM may be
corrupt. I do not see my posts from any NG. Have to go to google groups,
where I can just see some replies, but never my original posts. The some
help that I can see doesn't solve the problem.
Hope you can give me about the same procedures to delete those folders that
can be deleted and restart to hopefully cure the problem. Now the problem
is getting even worse. Even on google I don't see much. Hopefully I'll find
your reply somewhere, somehow. My situation is desperate. I am almost
completely cut off.

I am using gmail for e-mail. I use the e-mail program Windows mail. But I now
have two computers. I would like to open my e-mails on the new computer too,
in a neat e-mail program. Outlook Express is pre installed so I want to use
that. The new computer (a netbook) operates with mobile broadband, they
stationary computer gets internet from cable.
Computer 1: (stationary)
Runs on broadband, Internet Explorer 8, Windows Vista, Windows mail
Computer 2 (netbook):
Runs on mobile internet, Internet Explorer 8, Windows XP, Outlook Express 6
I have configurated my e-mail account by just mirroring the settings from
computer 1 to computer 2. It doesn´t work. Possible to fix it?
Thankful for all help I can get.

I'm having trouble activating Microsoft Outlook. It's asking me for the
Product Key, which i activated in Office when i got the computer, but i
packed the disc/code away when i moved house and therefore don't have the
Product Key with me. Is there a way to carry over the activation key from
Office to Outlook without me having to go through 50,000 boxes in my shed to

Question: I use Outlook Express 6, to read newsgroups, can the message
refresh rate be extended or shortened as desired, if so how?

I know this subject has been discussed before but I haven't found anything
that covers my problem. All email I receive from this one person has the red
x if there is a picture in it. BUT, all email I get with pictures from others
works fine. Before you tell me it's on his end, he also sends it to several
other people I know and they say theirs has the picutres and NOT the red x. I
have checked my firewall, virus, etc. settings and can not find the problem.
It's strange to me that all email works except the ones from him and that
others gets the same email from him that is sent at the same time and theirs
has the picture. It seems like if it's a setting on my end, then why are the
others working? Plus, if it's something he's doing, why does everyone else
get it with the picture and not the red x? Can anyone explain this? This is
weird. Thanks.

Hi,
Please can you help me?
I am having problems trying to send a word document (with a web site
hyperlink) and the same link in the message body of an email. The word file
is my CV and the link relates to my web site where examples of my work can be
found (i.e nothing dodgy, im just looking for a new job). The word document
has also been converted as pdf with the web site link. Both document links
work fine outside of outlook express.
The message will send (can see the progress bar), but it is not recieved and
does not show up on the virgin server? I have sent this to my self to proove
this. If i re-send the message without the word document, with the hyperlink
removed from the message body and only the pdf attached, it works fine?
I have enabled pop3 on the virgin server, used the recent virgin message fix
tool and un-checked "do not allow attachements" within oultook and still it
wont send the discussed message?
Please can you help me to fix this as i really need to send out my CV with
the web site link, thank you.
I am using:

Outlook express 6
XP home service pack 2

avg free 8.5

Hello:
I am using Microsoft's Windows XP (SP3) platform and Outlook Express 6
(OE6) is my main email application.
Recently I installed Internet Explorer 8 and so I am wondering if OE6 has a
corresponding upgrade to say OE7 or OE8.
* Can Outlook Express 6 (OE6) be upgraded to say Outlook Express 7 or 8
?
* If this upgrade is possible; I am interested in how to do it ?
* Can Microsoft Outlook client work as a stand alone application or do I
need the Server also ?
I like OE6 but I need to be able to add audio alarms (using message rules)
when certain emails arrive. Thus the need to upgrade
from OE6 to something higher.

I have a problem with my newsserver, the first time I click to open a news
OE hangs for 30" and I get this message "NNTP server NNTP did not answer
after 30", retry or break?", I hit "break" then I click on the same news and
I can read it. The same problem arises after some minutes of inactivity on
OE. Summing up I often am forced to stay 30" waiting for OE restarting.
My provider says he is not able to reproduce the malfunction and that's
all...
I tried to search in the Windows registry with Regedit and I found this
interesting key:
HKCU\Identities\{ident.account}\software\microsoft\Internet Account
>> Manager\Accounts\{account number of my newsserver}\NNTP Timeout
being set to hex 1E (decimal 30), then I lowered it to hex 0A (decimal 10)
but nothing changed.
I also tried to trace the malfunction with Wireshark utility (I was able to
read line tracing when I worked) and at NNTP level I see something like
that:
time 23.95 Request group microsoft.public.it.windows.vista
time 26.21 TCP retransmission of the previous request
time 30.80 TCP retransmission of the previous request
time 39.99 TCP retransmission of the previous request
time 58.58 TCP retransmission of the previous request - but at this moment
the 30" timeout must alrealy have elapsed
time 67.60 response from newsserver (I can't know what it means)
time 67.60 request mode reader
time 67.78 response from newsserver (I can't know what it means)
time 67.78 request group microsoft.public.it.windows.vista
time 67.96 response from newsserver (I can't know what it means)
time 67.96 request article 150228
time 68.15 response carrying the text of the news I clicked

Not sure what that means or how to do that, but would like to know. I open
the stand alone wab and and there is now link to start a new message, or
create
mail, etc. More than likely its something simple that I'm not picking up
on, but alittle help would be appreciated.
